Collaboration between Parsons and Brompton Bicycle, the innovative spirit of design converges with urban functionality. With a focus on enhancing urban living in New York City, the project aims to cater to the needs of the city, its inhabitants, and the iconic Brompton bike.
 
Partnering with Sebastian Martinez, we embarked on exploring the possibilities of the bike's front bracket, envisioning a solution that seamlessly integrates form and function.

	Our creation: a foldable front rack engineered to accommodate diverse objects, each with a mass of less than 10kg and varying shapes. 
This versatile addition to the Brompton bike not only enhances its utility but also embodies the ethos of urban mobility and practicality, redefining the urban cycling experience one fold at a time.

Elm Block, Stainles Steel
The challenge was in finding the right way to connect the wood and steel without compromising the structural integrity or visual appeal of the lamp. I used precise cuts and fittings to ensure a snug, secure attachment between the two materials. This approach allowed me to maintain a clean, cohesive design while showcasing the distinct characteristics of each material.

Laser Cut Acrylics

In the context of our Design Semantics studio led by Alicia Tam Wei at Parsons, I set out on a coaster design project tailored to our classmate Yulai Zhou's unique tastes. With a passion for whiskey and a highly fondness for Tiffany Blue, the coaster serves as a stylish fusion of his preferences. Integrating subtle nods to cinematic influences, this design embodies Yulai's personality and cultural interests in a small, everyday functional item.

	Maple, Slip Casted Ceramics
Envisioned in the captivating landscapes of Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, this design draws inspiration from the picturesque rice paddies that grace the region. As I wandered through, the wavy topography and elegant contours of the paddies left an indelible impression. 
In crafting this piece, I sought to capture not just their aesthetic allure, but also their profound symbolism. 	Steam Bent Ash, Cedar, Llightbulb&#38;nbsp;This series is to celebrate Indonesian fishermen and their tradition of feasting on low surfaces. It delves into the significance of this practice within Indonesian maritime culture, highlighting its communal aspects and symbolic value.
 Through this exploration, I aim to honor the fishermen's contributions and the richness of their customs.

Cherry, Walnut Veneer, Stainles Steel Legs
I designed and crafted a wooden cabinet specifically for a turntable, speakers, and vinyl storage. The cabinet features a stable top surface to securely hold the turntable, while the lower sections house the speakers in a way that optimizes sound quality and keeps them protected.

For the vinyl collection, I included one drawer designed to hold records upright, making it easy to organize and access each album. The dimensions are tailored to fit standard vinyl sizes perfectly.

Joints and fittings are precisely measured and constructed for durability.&#38;nbsp;

Aluminium, Teak, Hyacinth Cord / FiberTianyam Series, a furniture collection designed to showcase the versatility and beauty of Indonesia's abundant natural resources. Despite its many benefits—such as serving as compost, mulch, and aiding in waste management—water hyacinth, a common plant found in Indonesia's tropical regions, is often overlooked.
Despite its rapid growth, water hyacinth is commonly deemed a nuisance and discarded, locally. However, I firmly believe in harnessing its potential as a valuable material for crafting furniture. Collaborating with local Indonesian craftsmen and manufacturers, we are exploring innovative ways to incorporate water hyacinth into our designs, transforming what was once considered waste into functional outdoor pieces.
